I think this is the best new combo. Easy, fun, and casual, stripes, sneakers, and chambray can’t be done wrong. Here I paired a striped mini t-shirt dress with a chambray top and my favorite Nike Internationalist sneakers. Tying the chambray top around my waist gives me some curves and breaks up the stripes. This look is great for summer, especially if you want to be comfortable in sneakers!!
Happy Monday Everyone! Over the weekend, I purchased a new pair of Ray Bans- how perfect are they for Spring & Summer?!? We are loving that the weather is getting warmer!
I love this cotton black dress- I’ve had it for years. It is such a great piece that I can either dress up or dress down. I added this great bandana I purchased from Madewell. It’s such a great thing to add to an outfit for edge or on my purse as an accessory. I really like the camo and bandana together- brings some edge to a typical LBD!
Have a great week everyone!

Red October, WAiSTEDD
I have to say, for the longest time I wanted a pair of Red Octobers. I was willing to spend whatever for them. Alas, my bank account has not gotten any bigger nor have my other responsibilities gotten any smaller so I still do not have the Red Octobers. Luckily for me, however, I found these amazing Supras for the time being (I’m totally obsessed with a red shoe- such a pop. Even cooler that this is a sneaker!)
This look is one of my favorite casual looks to wear- ripped denim, sneakers, a flannel and gold jewelry. I’m not sure why- but I am always drawn to this type of an edgier look which is very much inspired by the street style of last year. I am such a sneaker Fein (which many of you probably don’t know because I wear heels so often in our posts) and its great to play around with different casual looks and feel edgy. Lauren and I are so experimental in our fashion sense and love to play around with different looks- this was definitely one of those times. This isn’t a look I would wear all the time, but it’s fun to try on different looks that represent different facets of your personality (currently blasting Drake… hmmm…). We always. always. try and have fun with fashion- never take it too seriously! I mean really though, who wants to look the same all the time…..
Enjoy your week everyone!!

Lately Lauren and I have been really into easy casual looks- maybe its the warmer weather or maybe we will just always be California Cool at heart. I found this maxi dress when I was in LA last month and honestly I can not stop wearing it! The patterned detail on the skirt is so boho & coupled with the cut out black top its super chic and fun to wear. It’s also light and airy which is absolutely perfect for being casual.
I also found this necklace when I was in LA as well- while I was on Abbot Kinney I found Roya De Rose in a pop up shop. She has the most incredible hand made pieces. I can not say enough about them- seriously, click the link below and you will not be disappointed. She goes to a lot of events (at festivals etc), so be sure to check to see if she’s near your city soon!
Happy Weekend Loves!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to you all!!! We could not be more excited to have a long weekend- does anyone have fun plans for the day off?? For us, Memorial Day marks the beginning of Summer- can we just say FINALLY. Summer has to be our favorite season- great weather, great vacations and of course great casual wear.
In California, short-shorts and crop tops are essentially a Summer staple look- no, seriously we can’t scroll through our Instagram feed without seeing 99.9% of girls in high-waisted shorts and crop tops. While we love this carefree look, sometimes it can become too redundant. In order to avoid this, we are loving certain easy breezy accessories such as Kimonos.
Kimonos are absolutely perfect for Summer because they instantly make you feel like a boho princess- they are super light and usually have the perfect amount of fringe. The kimono Danielle is wearing below is a great cover-up for that really harsh Summer sun and you won’t feel overheated (um and it’s totally adorable and not to mention comfortable)!! Danielle first bought it when she went to Stagecoach a few weeks ago and still loves incorporating it into her everyday wear. Pair a Kimono with your typical shorts and crop top, a great hat and of course loads of accessories and you’ll feel like you’ve completely upgraded your usual Summer wear.
We are absolutely loving Kimonos for Summer weather- they are perfect for a day at the beach, when you’re on vacation or when you’re at your favorite summer concert!
Again, Happy Memorial Day everyone! Have a fabulous and safe weekend!!

What a week it has been! Isn’t it funny how certain weeks can just fly while others seem never ending? The fun ones unfortunately are the ones that always go too quickly. Both of us had such a great week – literally we blinked and it’s already Sunday. Lauren celebrated her 23rd birthday last weekend along the coast and Danielle is returning from Stagecoach (country version of Coachella). We both had such an incredible week, it’s hard to believe its coming to an end!
Anyways- the topic we are discussing for this week is asymmetry- it’s a trend we are absolutely loving right now. Asymmetrical pieces are great to play with in an outfit and really can highlight your shape in different ways. Here, Danielle is wearing an asymmetrical skirt which hugs her curves in all the right places; paired with a body-con strapless top and a moto-jacket (LOVE THIS JACKET BTW) Danielle showcases the curves. The slit hits above the knee, which is perfect for Danielle’s shorter frame… And we’re always for some Angelina Jolie slit action (um, we wish… Angie girl teach us your ways).
If you’re going out pair the skirt with some simple black heels, or if you’re like Danielle and love to be comfy wearing wedges or sneakers. If you’re in the thick of summer and want something simpler, pair an asymmetrical skirt with a body-con top, unique belt and and pair of simple sandals.
Asymmetrical pieces are EVERYWHERE right now- dresses, skirts, flowy shirts- how perfect are each of these pieces for summer?!?! Especially when you want something easy and breezy when you’re sweating up a storm. If you have a petite body type, make sure the flowy shirt or skirt isn’t all encompassing of your body, you’ll feel lost in it (no, seriously we call it the balloon effect). Try something more form fitting- you’ll actually be wearing clothes rather than swimming in them.
Side note: SERIOUSLY how cute is this necklace Lauren got me for my birthday?!? It’s from a vendor on Etsy called Layered and Long- Lauren had it engraved with W159- which stands for WAiSTEDD & our favorite numbers. She’s the best!!!!
Happy Sunday everyone!! We hope you find some asymmetrical pieces to rock this spring and summer!

If you’re a Drake fan you may be familiar with a song off his new album entitled ‘Tuscan Leather”. Danielle is A HUGE Drake fan, so of course when writing a post about leather, the only appropriate title is such. We LOVE this leather trend- jackets, skirts, pants, you name it, we adore it. Leather is great because its timeless-you can wear the leather you buy now years from now and it will still look great.
Yes, leather is a timeless investment piece. But its still crazy expensive:one jacket can cost you $500+ (um hi thats like half our rent). If you are willing to front that kind of money for a jacket or a pair of pants, all the power to you! But if you’re like us and not quite ready to make that investment, we have a few simple tricks that allow you rock this leather trend while not breaking the bank.
If we look at Danielle’s outfit here, it appears she is wearing leather pants- tricked ya! She is actually wearing a pair of black metallic leggings from Forever 21 … we’re talking ten dollars here ladies! The great thing about the leggings is that they are incredibly comfortable- who says beauty is pain!?! Danielle paired it here with a casual tee and a pair of incredible strappy Schutz heels. The heels give the casual look a little bit of an edge.
If you’re like us and got a little junk in the trunk (bootlicious for ya), a great trick is to tie a flannel or jacket around your waist so you don’t accentuate these hip areas that you may be self-conscious about. This is especially important with leggings because everything shows- literally…everything…. We’re not encouraging you to hide behind clothing, just a suggesting how to make clothing look more flattering for your body.
The key when wearing “leather look alikes” is to make sure they do not look cheap. The metallic shimmer in Danielle’s leggings is not overpowering and the texture does not look like plastic. This is super important. Make sure you go into the store and try them on and actually feel the fabric. DO NOT, DO NOT buy these items online-looks in this case are absolutely deceiving. We also love buying Vegan leather products, which look and feel like leather but are much more affordable (and kinder to our furry friends). Remember Danielle’s holiday look with a leather skirt? It was actually Vegan. Look on Piperlime or Urban Outfitters for some great Vegan Leather products.
Like any outfit, accessories are everything. The metallic Tory Burch bags is one of our favorites because it pairs so well with every outfit. All Danielle’s accessories are simply grey and rose gold which compliment the zippers in the pant and play off the muted denim jacket.
Now, go put on Tuscan Leather while you shop online in hopes of finding some affordable leather pieces!! Share with us some of your favorite finds!
