Navy Maxi

Happy Friday!

As of late I’ve been so into Free People- I love their brand and how it has such a carefree spirit. I found this maxi on gilt  and I’m so glad I decided to purchase it. It has been perfect for spring and will transition great into Summer. My favorite part of this dress is absolutely and obviously the back- I love the openess and simplicity. The layers at the bottom of the dress create such an incredible shape for my shorter frame. My only complaint is that if you are a little bit busty, this type of top can be trouble some- I didn’t find it to be an issue but if you do, it is easy enough to layer with a fun lacy bralette (check out Victoria’s Secret).

Do you ever shop on flash sale websites such as Gilt.com or Hautelook.com? Lauren and I both really like them- I’ve found such amazing products for nearly half the price and it’s fantastic.

Have an amazing weekend!

White Jacket

Hi Everyone!! I want to share this great jacket I found at Banana Republic. I usually am not one to go for white, but I am in love with this jacket for summer! It is a combo of a blazer and moto jacket, so you can dress it up for work or dress it down for dinner, like I did. The details are understated so wear this jacket with your favorite jewelry to add color. I wore a bright top to complement the white…why not wear bright bold colors during this nice warm weather?

What do you think about this jacket? What would you wear it with?

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful Mommas out there! I hope today you spend the time to thank your Moms for all they have done and continue to do for you! Both Lauren and I are incredibly close to our Moms and we feel so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives- I can’t tell you the amount of times my Mom has been there for me in more ways than one- the times in college I called her crying because I hated my roommate or when I called her before my first job interview asking for advice or how many swim meets she stayed with me ALL DAY and was cheering me on at the end of my lane.

My Mom is so special to me because not only is she there for me all the time, but she really is such an inspiration to me. She is beyond intelligent- starting her own business with my Uncle out of my parents garage. They’ve been in business for over 25 years- I look to her for business advice, for personal advice or just for a good laugh. She worked while both my brother and were growing up and yet she NEVER missed anything- she was at every dance recital, swim meet, baseball game and worked with us on the weekend with whatever school project we needed. She always made us feel special- always. I think back as to how much my Mom really did- and it’s amazing. She is my superhero and I love her beyond what words can express here. I love you Mom!!!

Joan (Lauren’s Mom) is equally as amazing as mine. She too worked while Lauren and her brother were growing up and never missed a beat. I can remember when Laur and I were playing water polo in high school and she never missed a game- always encouraging us to be the best we can. She has been there for Lauren so much in the past few months- we love you Joan!

We feel so grateful to have such amazing women in our lives.

Your Moms are all Superheros- they are. They juggle a million things at once and still make you feel like you are the most important thing in the world. Take the time today to really tell your Mom how much you love her.

These pics are from the girls trips my Mom (plus my cousin and my aunts) take every year- I absolutely love this time I get to spend with them and they are memories I will hold in my heart forever! We’re going again in June 🙂

xo- Danielle

Happy Mother’s Day!

Stripes, Sneakers, and Chambray

I think this is the best new combo. Easy, fun, and casual, stripes, sneakers, and chambray can’t be done wrong. Here I paired a striped mini t-shirt dress with a chambray top and my favorite Nike Internationalist sneakers. Tying the chambray top around my waist gives me some curves and breaks up the stripes. This look is great for summer, especially if you want to be comfortable in sneakers!!
